THE MAIN CAUSE OF INSOMNIA IS EMOTIONAL DAYTIME REPRESSION.
Each day is loaded with opportunities to feel, but control dominates any possibility of feelings flourishing.
Suppressing emotions during the day means they bounce, like a spring, all together, during the night. This reveals the person by removing the veil that fruitlessly tries to cover their heart’s vision.
Feeling is the inner child. We are used to “think about our feelings” instead of just feeling. To think or judge what we feel instead of immersing ourselves in each feeling. The reason is that the mind makes an incorrect association. For the ego, feeling is equal to suffering. It does not want you to feel because if you were to feel and hold that child in the embrace of silence, you could come to understand that all emotion is love, and in love, the ego dissolves. Love that writhes within the limits of your beliefs and assumptions and that expands when it is released. We release it when we stop giving credit to those beliefs that are based on guilt and fear. When we say “I do not know” to all that.
When we interrogate feelings, we fall into the inertia of surrounding them by seeing “the dark and terrible hidden causes that provoke them”, instead of tending to them (attention is love). To interrogate feelings is to surround them with thoughts, to surround that child in an interrogation room with police who rebuke and ask it, where do you come from? What are you doing here? What can we do so that you don’t come back? We judge some emotions as “negative” and we do not allow ourselves to feel them or we deceive ourselves by saying that we allow them, but we look out of the corner of our eye to see if they have already left…
DEFENCE MECHANISMS ARE DESIGNED TO NOT FEEL.
Other times, with the frenzy of daily activity, we do not give the heart space to speak to us out of fear. But if we gave it that space we would be surprised by the creativity it gifts us.
When this is done very often, insomnia arises. It is curious and paradoxical that these habits that correspond to people who are asleep in the spiritual sense lead people to not sleep.
THE MORE ASLEEP CONSCIOUSNESS IS, THE GREATER THE PROPENSITY TO NOT BE ABLE TO SLEEP AT NIGHT.
Conventional treatment involves pills that anaesthetise feelings meaning that the inner child is drugged. Codeine is given to it to shut it up and to stop it from “bothering” us in our furious direction-less motion.
In over three years working as an inner evolution facilitator in retreats with psycho-therapeutic use of Ayahuasca, I have seen how many people have been freed from the causes of insomnia and insomnia itself, because Ayahuasca promotes the release emotions and during the experience your consciousness shows you how you treat yourself and sweetly tells you “calm down, everything depends on you, there is no one forcing you or imposing anything on you, you are free, only your belief that you are not prevents you from feeling it, you are a hug away from being able to sleep in peace… ”
This experience gives people a clue about the healthiest attitude they can adopt in their day to day when faced with their feelings, allowing them to navigate life with serenity and fluidity.
Therefore, when you get into bed, hug yourself and dedicate yourself to feeling, without looking for any results. Sweet dreams and sweet awakenings.
