A DREAM COME TRUE

Testimonial from Ramon Alan Enriquez, Facilitator at Ayahuasca International

I met Ramon in Cancun, Mexico on the 12th July 2016. He had just arrived from Chile and we recalled when we had first met 2 years ago, also here in the Mayan Riviera where I took part in an 11 day retreat with my partner Paula. At that moment Ramon expressed with great certainty, “I want to be a facilitator for this international organisation”. A few months past until the day he packed his things in Mexico and travelled to Spain to train with my school. In a year and a half Ramon has made incredible progress in his training as facilitator. I put him to the test and told him he had to go to Amsterdam for an 8 day retreat, then to Berlin for two retreats of 3 and 6 days. 17 days of retreats in about 3 weeks. And he said: “Yes, bring it on”. Paula immediately bought his tickets. We were in the hotel and went outside to take a photograph, and in that moment I asked him to send me a brief testimonial as I want each student to share their experience. Alberto Jose Varela

These are his words:

On 24th February 2015 (504 days ago, today being 12th July 2016) I arrived in Spain for the first time. In that moment I was leaving a life I had been living in Ciudad de Mexico. I was working in a Mexican Federal Bank which was well paid so my needs were satisfied. I had a number of friends that I care about, who stood by me in the good and bad times, and who I will always carry in my heart. A family, that despite having lived far away from them for some time, have always been there to provide me all their love and support. Leaving a city that taught me so many things, that saw me grow.

However, despite the fact that life smiled on me at that time, I thought that it wasn’t everything. That there was something else. It took me 5 months to make a decision after my first journey to the Colombian Amazonian jungle, in Putumayo, a unique experience. With a suitcase and backpack in hand I boarded an adventure towards Europe filled with total uncertainty, without any guarantees, not knowing what would happen.

I arrived straight at the first day of the February training course at the European School of Ayahuasca, a space that has provided so much, allowing me to go deeper in my process. I only have gratitude for all the teachers, to the whole team, to my spiritual family. That training cycle was a transformational experience that confirmed what my heart had decided. Follow your heart whatever you choose to do or whichever decision you make.

Now I find myself in Mexico City, returning from Santiago de Chile where I have been working as a facilitator at an Inner Evolution Retreat. We lived magical nights, spectacular healing for many and processes of transformation that happened to participants as they had happened to me once.

I am grateful for each moment that I have lived since I took that plane. I have been able to understand fears, guilt, judgements, conditioning, mental rubbish that only limit my freedom. It does not mean that they are no longer present in my life, in fact it becomes more complex each time. However, I have trust and the opportunity to observe myself in each activity that I carry out, be it a retreat, a training course, or trips to the jungle, etc.

As certified facilitator from the European School of Ayahuasca, I have visited many countries in America and Europe and I thank life for the opportunity to travel and meet different cultures, traditions and customs. However, in the end we are all one. External forms change, but what is inside is the same. We all seek the same: to be what we came to be in this life, to flourish, to discover our potential and realise it in a natural way.

I don’t live in “Disneyland” either. In a pink tinted fantasy world. I have gone through joyful, sad, painful and happy moments. Living intensely. And that precisely is the mystery; to live each moment, second by second, to the limit. To be here and now, flowing with existence.

I am now ready to start a new chapter: the growth of Innermastery International Mexico, accompanied by my family: Hendara, Samuel and my future son, Kenai. To be able to share with acquaintances, friends, family and those who are willing to challenge the mental structure in which they live. Willing to stop pointing outside and start pointing inside.

Thanks to life for the invitation it gives me to evolve and to expand my consciousness.
