THE SYNCRONIZED JOURNEY OF CONSCIOUSNESS AND FEELINGS.
Through expansion, we are going through all existence, we are breaking through the barriers of incomprehension. I invite you to embark on the most mysterious journey of life.
Earth spins on its axis at more than 1,000 km/h, while travelling around the sun at more than 100,000 km/h. Likewise, the Solar System is travelling within the galaxy at a much more rapid pace, and the galaxy does the same through the cosmos. WE ARE PART OF AN AMAZING JOURNEY!
It seems that our DNA has travelled far through the cosmos to reach earth, and then undergone an impressive journey through evolution until it reached us, human beings. Now, we devote ourselves to small journeys in this little world. It is said that the most complicated journey of all is the one that sperm undertakes to fertilize an egg. Since we are born, we begin a journey that will lead us to death. When we die, the great journey begins: to another life.
So, I wonder: what can be more important and fascinating in human life than travel? Where do we go? With whom? How can we do it?
We are capable of risking our lives in these journeys: we go to the moon; we soar in the air, travel through oceans, or on complicated, dangerous and inhospitable roads; so why not also virtual, imaginary and entheogenic journeys which we can only do with an awakened consciousness.
In each journey, we take things with us that we generally lose along the way, especially all those that there are no point in carrying. When we return, we feel happy for that, and for all the enriching experiences we had and places we visited. Every journey is an opportunity to evolve, to let go of what drags us down and to nurture ourselves of things that makes us feel light.
When people board a dinghy or a plane, they do it to migrate. But when we meditate, we travel to find freedom, and that authentic journey consists of daring to express ourselves in any way possible, no matter how repressed or enslaved we are…
Maybe that is why drug and alcohol consumption is on the rise: people use them to dis-inhibit themselves, to travel, to escape and forget, to have fun. Entheogenic substances (such as ayahuasca or bufo alvarius) are also consumed more and more all around the world. In many cases, they are used to break free from the limited journeys that drugs provide, in order to journey into our inner universe through feelings and higher realities.
We try to give our life meaning by embarking on these mystical journeys. They are internal and done without displacing ourselves even a single metre. They are the cheapest and the most satisfactory journeys of all, especially when we reach the deepest levels of our own incomprehension. It is there that we realize how far we have come with our consciousness, and only when we reach that limit can we challenge ourselves to make a tremendous journey to comprehension. Journeying toward comprehension means crossing the border that expands our consciousness into our hearts. It is what I call “the healing journey,” when my consciousness digs into everything that I don’t understand and propels me forward, towards trust, that mysterious ship that takes me to transcendence.
We travel to disconnect, to know, to escape, to distract, to forget, to earch and even to find. No matter whether they are business or family trips, holidays, or spiritual journeys. Other times, we just travel, without even realizing that being a part of the infinite is the greatest journey of all. Everything is expanding at more than 300,000 km per second. How far will we go? Additionally, in life we can travel to heaven or hell as well. Both destinations are far away and close by at the same time, to the extent that you may access them right now if you so choose.
Once, I travelled to Colombia. There, I met a shaman who gave me Ayahuasca, a shamanic medicine that allowed me to make the most wonderful journey of my life. But that was only a taste of the magical journey I was about to embark on in my life.
I travelled from Santa Fé — my home-town — to another huge city: Buenos Aires; and from there, I travelled to Madrid. In these past 15 years I have travelled around all of Spain, and in the last few months, I have travelled to more than 20 countries. I did not travel just for work, but because I take with me all that I have picked up along the way, both in my internal and external journeys. I travel around accompanied by a tireless traveller: MY SOUL, which takes me all around the world because it yearns to flourish.
It is not by coincidence that I met Roger Choque during a trip to Bolivia. He is a Yatiri who inspired me to take my first steps after of my experience of being in jail (another incredible journey I had behind bars.) This Yatiri also made me make a journey to overcome an old limitation of mine. These are one-way trips. I later found out that a Yatiri is a master traveller who dares to reach within. When Paula and I created the “Yatiri” restaurant in Madrid, we did so for people to come have lunch or dinner and experience a journey through the senses: healthy and exquisite food in a creative and cozy place. It was as if we saw everything as a journey, even the act of eating.
Every second we were travelling, just as you are right now, as you read this words; or as I am, as I write them. In this very moment, there is food travelling through your digestive tract, blood travelling through your veins, and your thoughts are surely taking you around your imagination.
That is why I want to use this momentary phenomenon of us travelling together for a few minutes to share my gratitude for this journey to eternity. This journey is infinite, life is nothing more than a short stop, and we are simply at this station, waiting for the next leg of the trip. In this station, we have been given a dose of consciousness to help us become aware of the journey we are in and of the traveller that lives within ourselves. We can grasp the magnitude of eternity, and we undertake the most mysterious journey that exists: to penetrate in the understanding of the infinite; to feel from our hearts that there is no beginning, that everything exists as it is, and will continue to do so for all eternity. Understanding the infinity of space and time is the most fascinating journey I have done in this life. Nothing comes close to it.
In this station, we can do many things. Masters from all periods of time tell us that each journey is a station and that everything we do during it will set the conditions for the next station. In this journey I am growing out of the seed of my Being, going upwards and rising towards infinity. When you decide to embark on this journey, you will realize that the energy of evolution will carry you up. There is nothing to be done, other than allowing blockages, fear, comfort, certainty and all that is known die. The supreme journey is towards the unknown, and it cannot be controlled
I invite you to love, share, enjoy, create, surrender, forgive, live, make love, hug, look with purity, sing and dance. And, above all, I invite you to undertake the shortest and most complicated journey of all: from reason to the heart. It may be just a few centimetres, or it may take you your whole life to get there, but that is the goal. From there, your soul can travel anywhere; it is its launching pad. When the petals of your flower start to open, the journey of your aroma towards existence begins. It will inevitably have an impact on other human beings, and on nature itself.
Physics claims that because we are expanding, galaxies and planets are further and further away. Is this why we feel the need to be close to one another?
For me, writing is a journey from the mind to feelings, and from there towards you, at the speed of light. I can reach your infinite inner universe and leave the seed of understanding there.
Thank you for joining me in this short and ephemeral journey of words. It is a way to get closer to one another and to inspire each other with a touch that transports us to eternity.
