About the approach in which we work with ayahuasca, the possibility of it being radicalized and the competing issues arising in the world of ayahuasca.
I apologize to all shamans and ayahuasqueros, religious leaders of ayahuasca churches, and also to people who defend the rights of ayahuasca, for having annoyed them – though unintentionally- due to the way in which we approach the work with ayahuasca in the Western world through the community-organization that I have founded and direct. That is, Ayahuasca International and the European School of Ayahuasca.
I accept and appreciate everyone for how they work and how they use ayahuasca, but I also accept and appreciate how I do my job; I am very happy about it.
Since I encountered Ayahuasca over 15 years ago I became aware of the urgent need to decontextualize it of the cultural and religious environment in order to use it as a tool of maximum purity in the psychotherapeutic work I wanted to propose.
To do this I found shamans to train and support me in this endeavor. At present we are many facilitators, who in many countries do the work with and for consciousness, using ayahuasca as a natural and powerful tool, disassociating ourselves completely from ayahuasqueros and religions that use it as a sacrament. We also disassociated ourselves from scientists who study it, and from organizations who defend it or who want to legalize it. We are dedicated to the inner evolution of the individual, to support them in the process of empowerment and liberation of their consciousness.
We believe that ayahuasca can be a sacrament for some, but for many others it can be considered a medicine or a tool for awakening, without the need to worship or venerate the ayahuasca itself, which is definitely an Amazonian plant of great power, but who has never proposed herself as a teacher, leader, or sacrament. We human beings are the ones who decide freely how we use the resources that life and nature give us. And we do so from different levels of perception. It is likely that my own consciousness level is the lowest of all, because I cannot consider ayahuasca as a cult object, nor as a living being that needs protection or care, but I do not rule out that someday something may happen to me that will make me change my perception.
I think it is great that many people use it as the core of a religion, or as a sacrament, because those people can be helped in that manner. But that is not our case, as the essence of our work is to stop following external teachers, to stop depending on tools and techniques; to leave all religions in order to transform our own body and existence into a true temple where one can connect with the purity of creation, being free of dependencies.
The core of the European School of Ayahuasca, in which facilitators are trained, contains several fundamental concepts (non-fundamentalist), these are some of them:
1- We open ourselves to the experience with ayahuasca from the heart, to awaken consciousness and apply it to our lives.
2- We use ayahuasca as a tool, not a goal in itself. It is the means, not the end.
3- We propose to extract the essence of the power of ayahuasca, which is housed in one’s own consciousness, to then stop taking it.
Having basic ideas for a particular work need not make us fundamentalists, because in that case we put ourselves at war with others, which directly threatens the essence of the work with Ayahuasca in any form.
It is really dangerous to sanctify something or someone, because if it is then transformed into fanaticism, those who become fanatics are able to kill to defend that thing or person; they are able to carry out any barbarity against those who do not revere it: A senseless war in the case of the use of a shamanic plant.
My contributions to the ayahuasca community around the world are creating many discussions and riots, many attacks against me, even threats, because like in other times, when certain truths come to light, it is the messenger who gets attacked.
I have brought a message that is creating a worldwide stir, this message related to ayahuasca is:
AYAHUASCA TEACHES THOSE WHO FEEL FROM THE HEART LIKE WORKING WITH HER, WITHOUT THERE BEING ANY NEED TO BE A SHAMAN OR A NATIVE.
AYAHUASCA WANTS AND CAN GET OUT TO THE WHOLE WORLD WITHOUT HAVING TO BE IN THE HANDS OF SHAMANS.
AYAHUASCA IS A TOOL OF HEALING AND CLARIFICATION, IT IS NOT THE GOAL.
I have contacted many shamans to inquire about these three topics, I will publish their interviews in the testimonials and consultations section of this page.
